Lawrence Krauss stated that Jeffrey Epstein 'apparently paid for massages with sex' and that Epstein claimed he had no idea the girls were underage. Krauss expressed belief in Epstein's assertion and doubt that driver's licenses would normally be presented under such circumstances.
